The 8th International Conference on Multibody System Dynamics (IMSD 2026)<\/a> will be held in Sevilla, Spain, on June 16 – 19, 2026<\/strong>. The deadline for abstract submission is December 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The next MMT Symposium will be in Porto, Portugal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Mechanism and Machine Theory Symposium (MMT)<\/a> will take place on June 21 – 23, 2026<\/strong> in Porto, Portugal. The deadline for abstract submission is February 14, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the MMT Symposium<\/a> is twofold: firstly, to join researchers in the field of mechanism and machine science to exchange their results; and, secondly, to celebrate the 60 years of the Mechanism and Machine Theory<\/a> journal, the IFToMM\u2019s official voice since 1972.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The 12th Asian Conference on Multibody System Dynamics (ACMD)<\/a> will take place at Okinawa, Japan, on October 25 – 29, 2026<\/strong>. Two-page abstracts should be submitted by March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IFToMM members get together and receive awards at MMT Symposium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The MMT Symposium<\/a> was organized in Guimar\u00e3es, Portugal, on June 26-28, 2024, to celebrate 60 years of the Mechanism and Machine Theory journal. During the event, Prof. Andr\u00e9s Kecskem\u00e9thy received the Elsevier Career Award and Prof. Xinxin Yu was presented an honorable mention to the Best Theoretical Research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Xinxin Yu appointed Secretary of the TC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The TC met during IMSD 2024 in Madison, WI (USA) and named Xinxin Yu, associate Professor at Tampere University (Finland), its new Secretary. The TC also expressed its gratitude to Prof. Jos\u00e9 Luis Escalona, from University of Seville (Spain), who held the position during the previous ten years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
